Xiaomi announced that it will no longer deliver MIUI Global Beta ROM builds. That means all current Xiaomi devices available won’t receive MIUI Beta updates anymore. The new MIUI policy will kick off on July 01 (from next month).
Xiaomi is more often to mimic features of different OS to implement in MIUI. Well, no doubt, Xiaomi keeps MIUI more productive. However, there are major bugs remains in the global stable ROM. And people often lefts comments in MIUI forum. Focusing on a more stable experience without any major bugs, Xiaomi has announced a new policy. Instead of delivering beta builds now Xiaomi will deliver stable updates ‘more frequently’.
Xiaomi’s statement:
“As the MIUI experience has matured, the need for stability is becoming increasingly more important. In order to meet the demands of most of our users and release stable version updates more frequently, our team of engineers has decided to stop releasing the global version of MIUI Beta for all devices starting July 1, 2019.”
FYI, a few days back Xiaomi did the announcement of their new MIUI policy. Under which the company eliminated one-year-old Xiaomi devices and lower budget Redmi handsets from getting the MIUI beta builds. This change in the rollout will take place from July 5.
Nevertheless, Xiaomi has promised to deliver improved stable build rollout. So, users will get the update in a proper manner within the released time period. One thing to make sure here, that the announcement has been done for the MIUI bets rollouts. Further, a stable release will be released for the device who will be eligible to get it.
