The Chinese smartphone manufacturer launched their first dual rear camera smartphone way back in July 2016 dubbed Xiaomi Redmi Pro. Well, Now the company will soon launch a successor of the Redmi Pro which will sport the Snapdragon 675 and might also pack a 48MP rear camera.
The poster of the Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 surfaced on Chinese website Weibo which mentions that device will be powered by latest Snapdragon 675 chipset. Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 is octa-core chipset and upgrade over the Snapdragon 660.
Well, The rumors also say that Redmi Pro 2 will have a 48MP rear camera. Earlier Xiaomi president shared an image of a device saying it will have a 48MP camera. It’s because Snapdragon 675 supports the 48MP camera we think that it could sport the 48MP rear camera.
There are no words from the company about the smartphone launch or the specifications yet. But if Redmi Pro 2 is the 48MP smartphone then it will launch in January 2019 as president confirmed on Weibo.
The report also says that this device will have a punch hole in the display for a camera similar to the Samsung Galaxy A8s and Huawei Nova 4. So, This could be the Xiaomi’s first punch hole display smartphone.
Xiaomi sets a launch event on December 24 for the Xiaomi Mi Play smartphone so we might hear some information about the upcoming Redmi Pro 2.
