Right now, the company is inviting testers to use Beta firmware of MIUI designed for Poco called ‘MIUI for Poco’ which brings some significant changes in UI.
While the device was launch event was doing progress, on the stage, Jai Mani announced that the ‘Bootloader Unlocking’ process will not affect the device warranty. This could be a good news for every custom ROM lovers out there. Along with this news, Xiaomi has also done the commitment to roll out quarterly security patch updates in order to improve performance and to create a better interface of their upcoming Android Pie update.
As the company does every time, they are inviting the software enthusiasts from all over the world to participate in this beta testing program. The Beta testers will get a chance to install the newly rolled out update first in their device and they can report major bugs.
Eligibility
Since, as we know the Poco F1 device is the only one right now in the market for which has the newly designed MIUI. So, you can apply if you are planning to buy it, going on sale on August 29th.
Procedure
- Download MIUI Forum Application from the Google Play Store.
- At the home, you should get the ‘Recruitment’ button. Tap on it.
- Now, fill up all the necessary details related to your device.
- Done!
Xiaomi will review all of the application they got of the beta testers. If you are lucky enough, then you will be directly notified via this application in your device.
Precautions
- You must have to unlock the Bootloader of your device in order to get updates.
- The last date to apply to become the beta tester is September 12.
