As promised, Xiaomi Redmi K20 lineup has been launched today. Manu Kumar Jain took the stage and shared Xiaomi’s growth over the last few months. Xiaomi today turned five years old in India. And as we know, the company is now No. 1 leading smartphone brand. Coming up on two new devices, Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro packs flagship-level internals under the hood.
The Redmi K20 is the base variant while Redmi K20 Pro packs the best in class SoC to offer the best performance. Except for the SoC, All the specifications of Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro remains the same. The phones are earlier launched in China. And the Indian variants are also following the same specifications.
Redmi K20/Pro Specifications
Redmi K20/Pro flaunts 6.39-inch FullHD+ AMOLED panel with bezel-less display and no notch design. It uses Pop-up selfie camera mechanism to get rid of the cutout in the display. Redmi K20 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 chipset while Redmi K20 Pro is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset. The only difference remains chipset and rests everything is same in both the devices.
Qualcomm introduced the Snapdragon 730 processor for smartphones. It is manufactured using 8nm process. Compared to the Snapdragon 710, new Snapdragon 730 processors promise to deliver 35% improved performance.
Redmi K20 features triple rear camera array that houses 48MP Sony IMX582 sensor while K20 Pro features Sony IMX586 sensor paired with a 13MP wide-angle lens with f/2.4 aperture and 8MP telephoto sensor with LED flash. For the selfies and video calling it features 20MP Pop-up selfie camera. On the camera front, It supports PDAF, 2x Optical Zoom, 2K video recording at 60fps, and HDR.
Redmi K20/ Pro packs 4000mAh battery that supports fast charging via USB – C port. In terms of charging, Redmi K20 Pro supports the Xiaomi’s new 27W SonicCharge technology while Redmi K20 comes with an ordinary 18W fast charging support. However, for both the devices, Xiaomi will ship only 18W charger in the box. To use 27W SonicCharge facility, the user must have to buy a dock separately from Xiaomi’s official website. It will cost Rs. 999.
Both the devices run on Android Pie based on MIUI 10 out of the box. Both the devices have 3.5mm headphone jack which is rare to sport in any flagship devices out-there.

Xiaomi Redmi K20 and Remdi K20 come in three different color options — Flame Red, Gracier Blue, and Carbon Black.
As we know Xiaomi earlier announced Alpha Sale for these devices. So, people who participated will be able to complete their payment via sale scheduled for today at 8 PM. If you will use ICICI bank credit card, then you can get an extra Rs. 2,000 off on purchase of any device including K20 and K20 Pro.
For remaining people, the sale will go live on July 12 at 12 PM on Flipkart and Xiaomi’s official site.

This time Xiaomi introduced their new flagship handset in the new theme — Signature Edition. The rear panel is completely made out of gold. Xiaomi claims it is not any kind of gold layer. It’s pure gold. There will be only 20 editions will be available of this new Redmi K20 Pro signature edition.
Redmi K20 Pro signature edition will cost INR 4,80,000.
