After testing this feature for a while in iOS WhatsApp finally released the new privacy feature in WhatsApp for Android. This feature will stop people from adding you to the new groups. You can decide who can add you to the new group by selecting users from settings.
How to Enable:
- Open Whatsapp and Tap on Three Dots
- Head over to the Settings and then Accounts
- Select Privacy and then Groups
- Here you will see options like – My Contacts, Everyone, Nobody.
If you will choose My Contacts then only those will be able to add you to the group from your contact list. As the name suggests Nobody – No one can add you to any group and Everyone will be able to add you to any group if you choose it.
This new privacy feature will be rolled out to some of the users starting from today. So you may or may not get this feature right now. Everyone will receive this privacy feature by the coming weeks. Earlier Whatsapp added a new feature which helps you to find if the forwarded news is legit or fake.
