Recently a few days ago we have written an article on the WhatsApp Payment feature. I was using WhatsApp and that was a bug regarding payment feature. So that was confirmed that WhatsApp is trying payment feature to implement in the future update but now it is confirmed.
Now, WhatsApp payment feature is rolling out in India for the eagerly waiting users. If you are a Beta user of WhatsApp application then you should get the payment option in the attachment button. The application version is 2.18.44. WhatsApp will allow the user to transfer the money using their UPI. We all know that WhatsApp is already talking with the NPCI and UPI (Unified Payment Interface) to implement this payment feature and provide more security to the user.

Well, as you can see the payment button in the above screenshot. When you tap on the attachment button, in the new updated version you will find the ‘Payment” button instead of “Camera” button. With the UPI number now the user will be able to send the money directly to WhatsApp easily. For that first user have to link the bank account with the WhatsApp.
You just have to follow simple step so let’s have a look on that!
01. Go into Settings
This feature only works on the version 2.18.44. So you have to make sure on which version you are currently running. To check it out, first of all, go to Settings> Help> App Info. You will find the version there. If you find older version update it from the Play Store.
02. Go to Payments Option
After then you have to go into the Payment Options from Settings> Payments Window.
03. Register Your UPI
Once you are in the Payments Window you have to now first of all register your UPI. You have to complete whole process to start the payment service on WhatsApp. It will ask for your mobile number verification. Just enter it and verify your mobile number.
04. Link Bank Account
Once your mobile number is verified you just have to simply link your bank details with the WhatsApp application in order to complete the transaction. So go ahead and select your bank and enter account details to link it to the WhatsApp application.
05. Done!
Once you have got the message of the “Setup Complete“, you can send the payments in the conversation to your friends or family members.
