WhatsApp is known messaging platform which over the time implementing new features across the platform. By the end of this year, WhatsApp aims to release UPI based transaction service – WhatsApp Pay. Also, the platform is trying some ad injection in its status feature. Anyways, the platform is far behind other messaging platforms such as Telegram in terms of versatility.

As of now, WhatsApp Web is the only way you can access your chats on your computer/laptop. We have earlier shared a post on how to install WhatsApp on Windows. But, eventually, you will require your smartphone to be connected with the internet to access chat. Just somehow, if it will disconnect or turn off, you will lose access.

A reliable source, WABetaInfo reported that WhatsApp might be working on Universal Windows Platform (UWP) app that would work on cross platforms even if the phone will be turned off.

This can be a big deal for the company which has more than 1.5 billion active users worldwide. Especially, with this kind of platform, one can easily access their chats even if their phone running out of juice. And its a similar way Telegram works currently.

Although, there isn’t much information shared by the WABetaInfo. But, it would definitely take a long time to become available for WhatsApp users.
