Viruses are mostly used by the hackers to hack devices. Recently hackers had targeted the Banking apps for Android devices. They released virus through the fake flash application.

01. Yankee Doodle

Yankee Doodle was created by the Bulgarian hacker and it damages all the .exe and .com files on your computer. When it gets the space on the computer, it makes the separate space for it and it plays a tune of its name every day at 4 PM.


This virus was spreading to the computer via emails which includes the email subject as an ILOVEYOU. This virus was created by the two programmers, Onel de Guzman and Reonel Ramones. As you can see in the image when anyone opens the email, he/she find the LOVE-LETTER-FOR-YOU.txt.vbs. Once it gets clicked it automatically overwrites the files on the victim’s computer that make the computer unbootable. It has also the capability to forward the mail to everyone who is in the victim’s email address book.

03. Morris Worm

This virus was made by the graduate student. His name was Tappan Morris. He has made this virus in 1988. At that time he released the virus on the internet on the computer and it affected approx 10% of 60,000 computers connected to the internet. This virus makes the victim’s computer slow and makes it completely useless.

04. Storm Worm

This virus was spreading via emails into the victim’s computers with the subject line of recent weather disaster like “500 People Got Dead Because of the Storm”. Storm worm is a trojan virus that was firstly found in 2006. It has made the 8% computers damaged worldwide.

Nimda — Read this word from the backside. It is derived from the Admin. This virus makes the internet traffic slow because it attacks the DoS settings.This Nimda was firstly found in the 2001 and it is the most spread virus within 22 minutes on the internet. 06. SkyNet

SkyNet virus calls itself very kind. This virus infects all .exe files. Whenever this virus attacks the victim’s computer it shows the Red dialogue box on the display nothing else and shows the message — “Don’t be afraid. I am a very kind virus. You have done many works today. So, I will let your computer slow down. Have a nice day, Goodbye. Press a key to continue.”

07. Mydoom

Mydoom virus was spreading itself via Email in others computers which contain the message that says — “[Victim’s Name]; I’m just doing my job, nothing personal, sorry.” When the victim opens this Email this virus automatically downloads itself into the computer and furthermore, it spreads itself automatically via email from the victim’s email contact lists.

08. Code Red

This virus was found in 2001 on July 13. It has affected more than 359,000 computer in just 1 week. Symantec says — “The CodeRed Worm affects Microsoft Index Server 2.0 and the Windows 2000 Indexing service on computers running Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 and Windows 2000, which run IIS 4.0 and 5.0 Web servers. The worm uses a known buffer overflow vulnerability contained in the Idq.dll file.”

This virus also one of them who spreads itself via email services. It was created by the David Smith. This virus was based on the Microsoft Word Macro.

10. Cryptolocker

Cryptolocker is the one type of trojan virus which also share itself via email services. When it attacks the victim’s computer it encrypts all the files and it asks for the ransom to get it back into the computer. According to the record, almost 500,000 computers were attacks by this virus. According to the reports from Rant now, “The leader of the group behind Cryptolocker, Evgeniy Bogachev, was eventually caught with the total cost of his crimes equaling 3 million dollars.
