OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro just announced and along with that company also announced that the new features coming to the OxygenOS on OnePlus 7 Series and also for the older generation OnePlud devices.
The Key features I liked most are the Zen Mode, Screen Recording and Night Scape 2.0. Although Night Scape 2.0 is not coming to older generation OnePlus device we can expect the other two features to arrive soon. If you can’t wait for the update to arrive then you can sideload those apps on your OnePlus devices.
OnePlus is also bringing a new feature specific to Indian users. Considering what features Indian consumers want and what is really useful for the users, the OnePlus team designed a bunch of new features for India.
Cricket Scores
Cricket is one of the trending sport in India and since World Cup is coming OnePlus partnered with ESPNCricInfo to bring all the cricket related news to your shelf of OnePlus launcher. You can access to the shelf by swiping left from the home screen.
Work-Life Balance
To maintain the work-life OnePlus is introducing the new work-life balance mode. This feature will only let you use the selected application and keeps you away from social media during the work time. So you can concentrate on the work and puts the mobile down.
It will also track the record of how many hours have you spent on mobile phones so you can get an idea.
Smart SMS Application
The new feature of OxyegnOS will highlight the important text that needs your attention so that you don’t need to go through the whole message. OnePlus maybe is late to the game but this is the feature that everyone will appreciate.
Caller Identification
Users in India are using caller identification services like TrueCaller. OnePlus will launch inbuilt caller identification to the phone application. It will show you the name of the person calling you using its database. It is yet unclear if OnePlus will use your call list to increase their database or not.
OnePlus Roaming
OnePlus roaming is particularly useful for international travelers. You can activate affordable roaming plans with your service providers without changing your SIM and going through all the high data rates.
This feature can be found under Wi-Fi and Internet option under setting app.
