The major impact was from Google for pulling the license of Android from Huawei. It cited many questions on recent Huawei smartphones.

Well, it’s clear now that Huawei is in a settlement with Google for Android for recent Huawei phones which are currently in the market. That means they will get future updates and no impact will be on Google services.

Huawei today answered the question and released a list of 17 Huawei smartphones which will get an Android Q update near in future when it will be released. FYI, Huawei is a partner of Google’s Android Q Beta program. So, it will make things easier for Huawei to release an update.

Huawei’s statement in press-release earlier today,

“Anyone who has already bought, or is about to buy a Huawei smartphone, can continue to access the world of apps as they have always done. All devices continue to be covered by our manufacturer’s warranty and will receive full-service support accordingly.

Our most popular current devices, including the P30 series, will be able to access Android Q. In fact, we have already launched a beta developer program for Android Q which is running right now on our Mate 20 Pro device.”
