Redmi Y3 Tips, Tricks and Hidden Features to get most Out of MIUI

Xiaomi just announced Redmi Y3 – A Selfie Centric Device in India with some powerpack features and great selfie camera. The Redmi Y3 packs Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 chipset which runs on Android Pie based on MIUI 10 out of the box. The MIUI 10 bundles bunch of features inside the Redmi Y3 that will help you to improve your user experience.

Navigation Gestures:

Xiaomi has added navigation gestures in the latest MIUI 10 which is disabled by default but you can enable by going into the settings.

Settings –> Full-Screen Display –> Enable

Double Tap to Wake Up Screen

This feature is very helpful when you just want to take a look at the notifications without unlocking your smartphone. You can double press to wake up the screen and can do the same to put in sleep.

Display Colors

You can change the display color as per your preference. There is three color options that Xiaomi provides: Default, Cool and Warm. You can also play with the hue by choosing the colors to play with the display.

Dual Apps

This is one of the useful features that many of you guys will love using it. This feature is in MIUI from quite a while so if you have used any MIUI running device before then you might know it. You can use two accounts on WhatsApp, Facebook or any other application installed on your smartphone.

Settings –> Dual Apps –> Select the App

Lock Apps with Fingerprint

MIUI has the feature which lets you allow to lock the application but the new MIUI 10 feature will also let you unlock the application using the fingerprint sensor.

Security App –> App Lock –> Set the Fingerprint and Apps you want to lock

Quick Ball

Quick ball is actually floating ball which can be used as the shortcut and you can use it while in any application. You can set options like Back, Recent, Lock, Screenshot any other.

Settings –> Additional settings –> Quick ball –> Select shortcuts.

One-Handed Mode

These days the smartphones are getting bigger and that is why it is not easy to use 6-inch + devices using one hand. So there is a new feature in MIUI called One-handed mode.
