Google announced Android Q Beta 3 at the Google I/O event. Android Q used to be exclusive for Pixel/ Nexus devices for the first few months but from last year everything has changed. Android Q Beta will be available to 21 new devices from 13 Smartphone manufacturers.
Xiaomi is a part of Android Q Beta program and company announced that Xiaomi Mi9 and Mix 3 5G will get Android Q beta update very soon. Redmi’s general manager GM Lu Weibing quoted that post and gave us a hint that Redmi’s upcoming smartphone will also have Android Q Beta.
Redmi is expected to launch its Redmi X (or Redmi K20 Pro) in China later this month. Although, The launch date is not yet known to us. Redmi executive hinted that it will announce sometime in May.
Two Redmi Flagship Device Launching This Month
The new report from MySmartPrice confirms that upcoming Redmi Smartphones will be available in Red, Blue, and Carbon Fiber color options. Both the Redmi flagship will be available in the same colors and same storage configurations. The Redmi flagship will be available in 6GB+64GB, 6GB+128GB, 8GB+128GB, 8GB+256GB Storage configurations.
While Redmi hasn’t confirmed the name of both the smartphones, Recent leak from Weibo suggested that it will be called Redmi K20 Pro and Redmi K20. The leaks also point at the Pop-up selfie camera and In-Display fingerprint sensor. So that means Redmi might include AMOLED display this time in a budget device.
The Redmi flagships are expected to powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset. According to the sources, Redmi is holding an event on May 13 but it’s not confirmed yet if the Redmi flagship will be unwrapped on the day.
The rumors suggest that Redmi flagship will feature triple rear camera Array and the primary camera will be 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor. We have to wait for the official confirmation before taking it into the consideration to take the rumored info as a pinch of salt.
