Redmi 7 is the company’s next budget device which will launch in China soon. The early Hands-On video is live on YouTube ahead of the official launch which gives us the first look at the device and reveals key specifications.
The smartphone in the left in Redmi 7 and in the right is Redmi Note 7. Earlier the device was listed on TENAA and it is the same device as the model number listed is the same.
Redmi 7 has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 chipset under the hood. The device will likely come in three variants and one which Chinese YouTuber showed us has the 3GB RAM and 64GB internal storage.
Redmi 7 has the polycarbonate design which is expected as it is a budget device and the company needs to cut the cost down. The Redmi 7 will have same size display as the Redmi Note 7 with a slightly lower resolution. The device flaunts 6.26-inch HD+ display and notch at the top.
The device will have MicroUSB port instead of USB-C and the headphone jack is still present in the budget device. Redmi 7 will be available in three variants as listed below.
- 2GB RAM + 16GB internal storage
- 3GB RAM + 32GB internal storage
- 4GB RAM + 64GB internal storage
Talking of Optics, TENAA listing mentions triple camera so there will be a dual camera at the front and remaining one camera in front. At the rear, there will be 12MP sensor coupled with a depth sensor and for the selfies and video calling it will likely have an 8MP sensor.
The Redmi 7 is expected to price below Rs. 10,000 in India. Looking at the leaks and TENAA listing we expect it to launch in China very soon.
