The Chinese smartphone manufacturer started rolling out ColorOS 5.2 update for their two other devices – Realme 2 and Realme C1. The earlier company planned that Realme 2 and Realme 1 will get an update in December and Realme C1 update was scheduled to January end but somehow company managed to complete the work on a new ColorOS for Realme C1 and Realme 2.
Realme C1 and Realme 2 users will get an update via OTA and in a phased manner. So that means only selected numbers will get an update on day 1 and rest of the users will get an update in the next few days.
If you don’t want to wait for the OTA to receive in your device, you can manually update your device by downloading the package manually.
Update to ColorOS 5.2 Manually: (Realme 2)
- Download the OTA package from here.
- Copy the package to the root directory of your phone.
- Turn Off your phone.
- Press and hold the volume down and the power buttons simultaneously until booting into recovery mode.

With the new ColorOS 5.2 update, you will be able to dismiss any notification in a single swipe. The new shutdown interface lets you reboot by swiping up. For faster app launching and multitasking you can now add important apps into the new “Smart Bar” and a headset icon will be visible in the status bar when you plug in your headphones. In addition to this, the touchscreen frequency has been improved, a long press of the power button can now launch Google Assistant and it comes with the all-important Android Security Patch for the month of December.
