Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 to Arrive in Two Variants; Samsung to Mass Produce

Qualcomm Technologies has been working on the successor of its flagship level processor Snapdragon 855 and we can expect it to arrive by end of this year. Snapdragon 865 is expected to launch in two different variants. Qualcomm was using TSMC’s fabrication unit to produce chipset from last two years but this time Samsung will be mass producing Snapdragon 865 for Qualcomm.

According to Tipster, Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 carries a code name SM8250 that falls in line with the Snapdragon 855 codename that was SM8150. The Snapdragon 865 will be manufactured on the 7nm EUV process which is superior to the FinFET process that Qualcomm used to manufacture Snapdragon 855.
