Qualcomm Launches New Snapdragon 712 with Faster CPU and Quick Charge 4.0+

Qualcomm adds a new member in its chipset portfolio. The company has just announced Snapdragon 712 chipset today which has faster CPU compared to its predecessor 710. The chipset is built on the company’s 10nm manufacturing process and comes with the nifty upgrades.

New Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 chipset has multicore Qualcomm AI engine, Qualcomm Kryo 360 CPU, Adreno 616 GPU and Hexagon 685 DSP. With the help of this all internals, the chipset promises to provide up to 10% increased performance compared to earlier Snapdragon 710 chipset.

According to the Qualcomm, it has a faster octa-core processor. So now, the CPU’s eight Kryo 360 cores now can be clocked up to 2.3 GHz comparing to its previous clock speed of 2.2 GHz. While in terms of the network modules, the chipset remains on the same Snapdragon X15 which can reach speed up to 800 Mbps for downloading and 150 Mbps for uploading.
