Qualcomm launched its new generation Snapdragon 855 chipset back on November 5th which is more powerful than any other chipsets out there in any smartphone. Well, it seems Xiaomi has already equipped this chipset for their new Mi Mix 3 variant. On December 6th, the company has presented its new variant of Mi Mix 3 device.
The Chinese manufacturer has introduced new Mi Mix 3 packed with the newly released Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset. The chipset sports eight cores and have tri-cluster design. You might know what tri-cluster design generally have. It consists of the single top-performance core clocked 2.84 GHz, three high-power cores clocked at 2.42 GHz and four efficiency cores having a clock speed of 1.78 GHz.
The Snapdragon 855 chipset has two modems, Snapdragon X24 LTE modem, and Snapdragon X50 5G modem. What that means is Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 will have support for the 5G network and it will feature the download speed up to 2Gbps. Thanks to the Xiaomi smart antenna switching technology. According to the Xiaomi, Mi Mix 3 5G variant has a higher requirement of the antenna design and the signal transmission than 4G.
Further, the company will take the full advantage of IoT (Internet of Things) with this new 5G internet. The company will also jointly promote their 5G device in their new smart home field with the China mobile and explore the 8K ultra-high-definition VR video play online, 3D AR street view navigation, 3D holographic video call, high-definition online gaming, and some other cloud streaming services. Right now, there no clues which suggest us the exact date of releasing of this new 5G enabled Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 device. But for sure it will be available in 2019.
