Huawei’s Smartphone with HongMengOS will Arrive by the End of 2019

According to me, the US ban of Huawei was like a topping on the cake. In less than a month Trump administration removed it and Huawei got its hands on Google’s Android operating system. But, who knew, the US ban will spark the Huawei’s engine to develop its own operating system. And now according to the new report, Huawei’s HongMengOS powered phone will arrive before the end of this year.

Earlier we have heard a statement from the Huawei’s Senior Vice President Catherine Chen who claimed that HongMengOS is not an Android alternative operative system. In fact, it is not developed for smartphones. However, according to the new report from China’s Global Times suggests that the new Chinese smartphone major Huawei is testing the HongMeng operating system on their smartphones and it will arrive early in Q4 2019.

According to the report, Huawei could showcase their HongMengOS for the first time at upcoming Huawei’s Developer Conference 2019 which is scheduled at the Dongguan, China on August 9. This report citing many questions for me.

First, privacy is currently a major concern. It should protect users’ privacy as Android does and iOS does.

Second, we know, HongMengOS will, of course, have support for Android applications. However, it won’t be as versatile as Android is currently. So, will it be good for you to jump on different OS from the current OS?

Third, if Huawei will release its smartphone with HongMengOS, will it become available in other countries?

Huawei should have done the market research, though. Anyways, moving ahead, the report from Global Times also suggests the pricing. So, the first handset running on HongMeng OS could get price tag around $288 (Yuan 2,000 / INR 20,000). We can say, the company looking for a good start by lowering down the price.
