Google introduced navigation gesture last year with the Android P and since then all the other Android OEM has taken their own approach for the navigation gesture because Android P’s gestures are a bit broken (or unfinished). Google realized its mistake and revamping the gesture approach with the Android Q. Well, If you don’t like that either here is how to switch back to navigation buttons in Android Q.
The new gestures work similar to the iPhones gesture but it ain’t as smooth as the Apple’s implementation. Swipe from the center to go home, Swipe and hold to see recent application and switch, Swipe from either side to go back (Similar to MIUI 10).
It’s good to see that Google is not forcing you to use the navigation gesture as you can choose between navigation button, two-button navigation (Android P gestures), and navigation gestures.
How to Switch Back to Navigation Buttons in Android Q
- Head over to Settings
- Select System
- Tap on Gestures here
- Select System Navigation
- Select 3-button navigation
- Done!
