Huawei’s sub-brand Honor just released their two new handsets in the Chinese smartphone market dubbed as — Honor 9X and Honor 9X Pro. These two smartphones were a part of leaks and rumors from the last couple of days. And at last, yesterday, the company officially teased the promotional video via Weibo handle. As scheduled for today, now they are official in China. So, let’s dig in further and find out what they pack.
To make everything simple, first I would like to tell what’s the difference between Honor 9X and Honor 9X Pro. So, the only key difference between these two devices is the RAM size, storage capacity, and camera sensors. In other scenarios, both devices pack exact same internals.

Honor 9X / Pro, both the devices are powered by the Huawei’s own home manufactured HiSilicon Kirin 810 processors under the hood. FYI, its Huawei’s new 7nm chipset which comes with the GPU Turbo 9.0. Out-of-the-box the phones run on EMUI 9.1 – a custom skin from Huawei at the top of Android 9.0 Pie. And to power up everything, Honor ships devices with the 4,000 mAh battery.
Upfront, there is 6.59-inches Full HD+ display with the 2.5D curved glass. Both the phones are having the no-notch display. And that puts the front camera on the pop-up trey. Upon rear side, Honor 9X features dual-camera setup which features the 48MP as primary camera sensor and 2MP depth sensor, while the Honor 9X Pro features triple camera setup houses an extra 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens. The pop-up trey carries 16MP selfie camera.

Honor 9X / 9X Pro Availability
Honor 9X comes in three different color options — Midnight Black, Blue, and Red. The phone will go on sale in China from July 30. However, the pre-orders are starting today. The phone is priced as follows;
- 4GB + 64GB: Yuan 1399 (roughly INR 14,175)
- 6GB + 64GB: Yuan 1599 (roughly INR 16,020)
- 6GB + 128GB: Yuan 1899 (roughly INR 19,025)
Honor 9X Pro comes in two different color options — Midnight Black and Phantom Blue. The phone will go on sale in China from August 09. While the pre-orders will start from July 30. The phone is priced as follows;
- 8GB + 128GB: Yuan 2199 (roughly INR 22,035)
- 8GB + 256GB: Yuan 2399 (roughly INR 24,014)
