Android P Rumors: Swipe Gesture & Redesign Navigation Bar

Google to announce their newer Android version soon Although the beta previews are already out and a lot of things are changed. Google went for the material design and changed some icons of notification bar and setting.

Google will be announcing Android P Developer preview 2 right after Google I/O 2018. Vinoth Ragunatham found some of the leaks that will be included in developer preview 2.

Swipe Gesture like iPhones?

This new transition animation in Android P developer preview looks oddly similar to iPhone X’s app switching animation. Does this hint at a gesture-based system for Android? This feature will be included in developer preview 2.

New Navigation Bar

Android P will redesign the traditional navigation bar (triangle, circle, square) to a more iPhone X-like system. It’ll replace the circular home button for a ‘Home Bar’, like on the iPhone X. We have seen something similar back in February with Chrome’s ‘Duplex’ experimental interface — Not sure where/how Google Assistant will be implemented.

Accessing multitasking menu will be simple swipe-up from the corner of the device, where the multitasking menu is currently placed now (square button). There will be a small visual cue for it, something like what Apple has done for the Control Center on the iPhone X.

There have been many rumors and leaks about it Although this information is from trusted source yet we can’t confirm that as of now. This features will bring a pie for an Andoird and I would love to see this if Google implements this. Let me know in comments section below what do you think about this features.
