AMD Ryzen 3000 Series Processor was launched last month and it continues to break a record in terms of Benchmark and Pricing. The company shocked everyone with the pricing and the performance improvement it has to offer with the 3rd generation CPUs. AMD Ryzen 3rd generation performance improvement was possible with Impressive IPC Gain, Zen 2 Architecture, and TSMC’s 7nm node which is much more efficient compared to 12nm and 14nm nodes.
AMD Ryzen 5 3600 will compete with the Intel Core i5 CPUs and as we already know it’s much faster than Intel’s Core i5 Processor. However, The recent Cinebench R15 score confirms that it even surpasses Intel Core i7-9700K Processor in Single Threaded score.
Single-Thread Test:
Intel Core i7-9700K gets the 1451 points while the AMD Ryzen 5 3600 managed to achieve 1561 point in Single thread test. The higher clocked version of i7-9700K receives 1578 point in single thread test which is almost on par with the AMD Ryzen 5 3600. Both the CPUs are running on the same frequency and so we can expect similar performance in real life as well.
Multi-Thread Test:
The AMD Ryzen 5 3600 manages to get the 5th position in the chart following Ryzen 7 2700X and the Threadripper 1950X. It received 3505 points in Multi-Thread test. The new CPU is quite a bit faster than Older i7 CPUs and should perform similar to Intel i7 9th generation CPU.
It’s good to see how AMD is pushing its CPU market by providing very powerful CPUs at a cheaper price. AMD Ryzen 5 3600 costs only $199 while the Intel Core costs almost double at $374. Intel was also thinking to reduce their CPUs price by 15% so let’s see how the consumer responds to it.
