A Website Uses AI to Generate Endless Fake Faces

If you might have heard about the news of unwanted content created by people using AI, then you should have knowledge about how it is easy to swap the face using Artificial Intelligence. Now, the same can be done by the ThisPersonDoesNotExist.com. The website uses AI to generate endless fake faces. And believe me, they all are looking plausible.

Currently working as a software engineer at Uber, Philip Wang has developed this website. He installed an algorithm developed by the Nvidia to craft the faces using the larger catalog of images. This algorithm simply takes the face in form of a square and puts it against the main video in which user wants to swap the face in order to improve the image quality.

Philip said to Motherboard, “Most people do not understand how good AIs will be at synthesizing images in the future.

Each time you refresh the site, the network will generate a new facial image from scratch.

– Philip Wang in a Facebook post.

So basically, whenever you will refresh the page, you will see a new face. And keep in mind that, the person you will see on the face doesn’t exist in the real world.

Such type of websites works on the AI algorithm power can rais a lot of questions. And no doubt mainly about the privacy that should be taken on the website. I know, it is not possible though. And so, we see discussions on the web such as ‘deepfakes’ that used in the past to paste Scarlett Johansson’s face on pornography video.

Also, on another hand, there are some obvious creative applications of AI. With the AI integrated software can be used to create the virtual worlds which could significantly help a different kind of designers and illustrators. Already the feature has been started getting implemented in smartphone cameras which enables the 3D surface measuring. What do you think about this? Let us know in the comment box below.
